Top Pros Join Virtua Tennis Ranks
Just to let you know, the Wimbledon champs are in the portable racquet-fest. Latest screens.
With memories of this year's dryer-than-usual Wimbledon tennis tournament already fading, Sega is cashing in on the renowned championship by reminding people that the newly crowned Wimbledon champs, Roger Federer and Venus Williams, will be both be appearing in the upcoming Virtua Tennis title for PSP.
The two are joined in Virtua Tennis: World Tour by a dozen other top pros on the game's roster. If, however, the prospect of helping Tim Henman lose again in the Exhibition mode doesn't get your juices flowing, you can take solace in the knowledge that you can still create your own characters for use in the World Tour mode.
Here you'll be able to create and train your own character before taking them on a break-neck tour of the globes tennis hot spots while competing for cash and championships.
Outside of the two main modes, there are also mini-games and wireless multiplayer modes to keep you swinging.
Virtua Tennis: World Tour does not have a confirmed European release date yet, but Sega is hoping to get it out around the same time as the PSP, which launches on 1 September.
