Escaped Zoo Animals Top the Charts
More proof that exposure combined with a large installed base yields success.
Kids across the UK flocked to see Madagascar last week and then they dragged their parents into the closest shop to pick up the video game adaptation, helping Activision's tie-in take the top spot on the UK chart.
The Fantastic Four almost lived up to their name. The game debuted at No. 4 on the chart, just behind THQ's popular duo of Juiced and Destroy All Humans! The Fantastic Four movie opens on Friday, and it will be interesting to see whether gamers still want to buy the game when they see the poor reviews the movie is garnering.
The only other new entry to make it into the Top 20 this week was Capcom's stylish split-personality thrill-ride Killer 7, which came in at No. 15, leaving the rest of the games on the chart to bob about during these slow weeks of summer.
