Namco Uncovers Frame City Killer
And you thought all Namco did was fighting games.
On paper, Frame City Killer doesn't sound all that much different from Hitman. Both games cast you as an assassin, out for money and blood in all their sickening guises. But there's one big difference: in Frame City Killer your character has hair.
Of course, there's more to it than that. Namco's game is set in an East Asia of the near future, giving it an edge better suited to the next-generation sensibilities of the Xbox 360.
Lead character Crow is a contract killer on the trail an enigmatic drug-cartel boss. Busting heads is a freeform affair, allowing you to bring your marks to their knees in the way you like best.
Although Japanese in origin, Frame City Killer is being built using Unreal Engine 3, a software tool from Unreal developer Epic that lets game creators get to work making next-gen games with the minimum amount of fuss.
Frame City Killer has its sights set on a Christmas launch, right around the time that the Xbox 360 is expected.
