Kratos Becomes God of Movies
After tackling all would-be opponents in his game, the God of War turns his eye on Hollywood.
Kratos, that glabrous, war-loving deity and star of Sony's new action game God of War, could soon find himself on a much bigger screen. Universal Pictures has tapped the game as the next in the long line of games-turned-movies, GameSpot is reporting.
This isn't the first crossover for Universal. The company is busy putting the final touches on a big-screen adaptation of id's savagely popular first-person shooter Doom that stars ex-WWE wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
There's little in the way of information for the God of War movie yet. The project will be headed up by producers Charles Roven and Alex Gartner, whose previous credits include Batman Begins, Twelve Monkeys and Indecent Proposal.
