Ridge Racer on the Grid for X360 Launch
Namco's racer is not only coming to Microsoft's next-gen console, it'll be there on day one.
Namco has confirmed that the recently revealed Ridge Racer 6 for Xbox 360 will be out on the console's launch day towards the end of the year. The game will also be the first in the popular series to have extensive online components.
Not only will you be able to race against other Xbox 360 owners around the world, but to keep the game fresh, Namco has revealed that it will occasionally have new cars for sale through the Xbox Live online marketplace.
The company also hinted that there might be other downloadable content too, perhaps even including new tracks.
Much like Microsoft's Project Gotham Racing 3, Ridge Racer 6 will use an online matchmaking service to make sure gamers can go up against the best competition online. You'll even be able to download ghost car data from top-ranked racers to test your skills against the best in the world.
