LMA Brings Visuals to Management
Codemasters spruces up the aesthetically dull genre with a helping of tasty graphics.
With most football management games coming across as glorified spreadsheet programs, Codemasters is doing something new for its upcoming console game by giving the graphics a much-needed boost.
LMA Manager 2006 will use an expanded version of its 3D match engine, letting you coax the game based on how you see it unfurl rather than how the numbers run off in the myriad tables of statistics traditionally associated with the genre.
This means that instead of checking numbers to see whether your star-in-training is actually a dullard on the pitch, you can simply watch matches as they happen and tap the players you want to focus on and mark off the ones you'll be transferring out of your club at your earliest convenience.
And what better way to lay down the law than through your very own avatar, which you can lovingly mould to look just like you using the game's create-a-manager tool.
LMA Manager 2006 will be out for Xbox and PlayStation 2 at the end of October. For more information, head over to Codemasters' official LMA Manager page.
