The Matrix: Path of Neo - New Screens
And good timing too. Anything to wash away the acrid taste left by those last two movies.
The previous Matrix games may not have been very good, and the less said about the two movie sequels the better, but fans of the series will finally be able to do what they want to do: play as Neo.
In Atari's new Matrix game, The Matrix: Path of Neo, you play as The One and go through all the major plot points from the trilogy.
But there's a twist. You won't just be playing out the stuff exactly how it happened in the movie. Instead you'll have more freedom to go about things your way, solving problems how you want.
Atari has realized that what gamers want is to envelop themselves in the Matrix mythos, and to do this the company has used specially re-edited clips from the movies in the game. All the major actors, including Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Laurence Fishburne, have also brought their faces and voices to the project.
The Matrix: Path of Neo is set for release on PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox later this year.
