Sony Pulls Colossus From the Shadows
New screenshots for one of the most genuinely beautiful games we've seen in a long time.
There are few developers these days that make games from the heart, which makes Sony's Ico team all the more special. The creative duo of Fumito Ueda and Kenji Kando are currently putting the finishing touches on their next project, Shadow of the Colossus.
The game stars a young man driven to revive a beautiful fallen woman. Aided by his trusty stead, our hero heads off to smite building-sized monsters in the hopes that this will bring his charge back to life.
Shadow of the Colossus has been well received at its trade show appearances this year, though there were, at the time, still some languishing technical issues. With any luck, Sony will be able to iron out these kinks before the game's release in early 2006.
