Gunstar Heroes Return This Autumn
Treasure's long-awaited sequel picks up a name change en route to Europe.
While 2D games may be going the way of the dodo, some publishers are still eager to support the much-loved perspective. One of the most eagerly awaited 2D games in the offing is Sega's Gunstar Super Heroes for Game Boy Advance.
The game, which snagged a bushel of awards at this year's E3, has had a name change during its journey to Europe. Gunstar Future Heroes, as it will be known, picks up the blistering ammo where Mega Drive classic Gunstar Heroes dropped it.
Developer Treasure has returned to its hailed 16-bit hit for a deep action game that combines sensibilities and mechanics old and new. You have a choice of two characters with unique abilities and a total of six paths through the game.
Sega, which has teamed up with THQ for the game's release, has yet to nail down a release date, but it will be arriving in Europe sometime this autumn.
