Party With Mario This Autumn
Cut up the floor with the sometimes-plumber in another non-platforming game.
Does Mario have an eating disorder? The video game super star has been overweight for decades despite his ever more vigorous lifestyle and his waistline is as expansive as ever. But Nintendo has one more activity for Mario and this one might do the trick: dancing.
Carving out a slice of Konami's Dance Dance Revolution pie, the plumber's latest outing, Dancing Stage: Mario Mix, is a heady mix of booty-shaking and head-bopping that eschews chart toppers for music culled from Nintendo's bounteous past.
There's no Livin' La Vida Loca here. Instead you'll prance around to tunes ripped from Super Mario World, Donkey Kong, Mario Party 5 and more. Better still, while you'll be able to play with the GameCube controller, Nintendo is including a dance mat with all copies of the game, so you have no excuse for staying on the couch.
Dancing Stage: Mario Mix will be in stores on 28 October.
