Microsoft Gives Halo Another Push
It's already the top game on Xbox, but Microsoft wants even more exposure for Master Chief.
Halo 2 may be the best selling game on Microsoft's current console, but even with 7 million sales worldwide it's only sitting on the shelves of slightly more than a tenth of all Xbox owners. To rectify this gross imbalance, Microsoft has announced the Halo Triple Pack.
As the name suggests, the Halo Triple Pack collects all three current Halo titles: Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and the recently released Halo Multiplayer Map Pack.
The bundle is the perfect primer for Halo neophytes who will be able to experience the solid singleplayer stories that propelled Master Chief into megastardom and the groundbreaking online play that has held a stranglehold on Xbox Live gamers since Halo 2's release last year.
The Halo Triple Pack will retail for £29.99 in the UK and $59.99 in the US. While Microsoft has yet to announce specifics for Europe, the game is scheduled to hit the US in early October and it's a good bet that the pack will arrive here soon afterwards.
