Super Monkey Ball Rolls Onto DS
Soon you'll be able to, er, touch monkey balls - which is a good thing.
They're disarmingly cute, ensconced in plastic and soon they'll be all over your DS. The simian stars of Sega's popular Super Monkey Ball series are warming up for their latest outing on Nintendo's touch-screen handheld, according to a report at 1Up.
Specifics are tough to come by at the moment, but it seems that we're in for a similar experience to that seen on the multitude of platforms the series has already appeared on - which is a decidedly good thing.
The major change, as you would expect, is the change in how you control your monkeys. Instead of using the antediluvian analogue stick to direct your trapped characters, you'll be able to roll them any way you wish using the DS's stylus-based controls.
There are reportedly around 100 levels in the game, which will also include a smattering of mini-games available for wireless multiplayer.
Sega has yet to confirm whether the game is coming to Europe, but history suggests we'll see the game soon after its Japanese release.
