Sony Recalls Faulty Power Adaptors
That's one less thing the company can point at Microsoft and laugh about. Check out if you're at risk.
Following the discovery that some of the power adaptors for its new slimline PlayStation 2 are susceptible to overheating and pose am injury hazard, Sony has issued a recall of all of the possibly faulty components.
The adaptors in question shipped with black slimline PlayStation 2s sold before the end of 2004 and possibly into 2005. Sony has set up a Web site that will help PlayStation 2 owners find out if they're at risk.
Sony's recall comes after Microsoft put a similar move into effect in February in response to 30 instances where people suffered personal or property damage because of faulty power cords.
