Terror Tops the UK Chart
The PSP's days at the top seem to have come to a premature end, though some are still holding on.
The PSP may have got off to a dominant start last week, but that didn't stop Tom Clancy's elite quartet of counterterrorism agents from assuming the lead position on the weekly UK sales charts.
Rainbow Six: Lockdown for PlayStation 2 and Xbox held off strong competition - not from PSP games, as you might imagine, but rather from Brian Lara International Cricket 2005, which rode the mania surrounding the conclusion of the Ashes series to a respectable No. 2 position.
Things are, however, still looking good for the PSP. There are five games for the new portable in the Top 10 and 17 in the Top 40, which is no mean feat for a debutante - just ask Nintendo.
Below are the top 10 games in the UK for the week ending 10 September, as determined by Chart Track:
- Rainbow Six: Lockdown (Ubisoft)
- Brian Lara International Cricket 2005 (Codemasters)
- Delta Force: Black Hawk Down (Novalogic)
- Ridge Racer (Namco)
- Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (VU Games)
- Virtua Tennis World Tour (Sega)
- Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition (Rockstar)
- WipEout Pure (Sony)
- Need For Speed Underground: Rivals (EA)
- Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (Sega)
