Mario Rounds the Bases in November
There's little chance of him making another platforming appearance in this generation, so instead Mario is hitting the diamond.
As painful as it is to admit, Mario seems to have hung up his plumber's uniform for good, at least on the GameCube. But the legions of the moustached-mascot's fans need not fret, as the portly icon's next outing is coming up soon in Mario Superstar Baseball.
As is the Nintendo way, this is a game built for everyone, not just those that are willing to stay up past midnight to catch Major League games from the States on TV. The controls are simple, the action is manic and there are enough Nintendo-themed surprises to keep die-hard fans of the company happy a while longer.
The game includes 30 characters plucked from Nintendo's colourful universe and 5 unique stadiums. You'll be able to play standard baseball if you want, but there are less austere modes for those of you that just want to have fun too.
Mario Superstar Baseball will be out only on GameCube on 11 November.
