Namco Rolls Out Katamari Sequel
The new version of the ferociously original Katamari Damacy hits America this week.
American gamers are this week treated to one of the most anticipated sequels to hit western shores in some time. No, not Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, but a little game called We Love Katamari.
The game sees players rolling a ball over small bits of junk, trying to make your ball or 'katamari' as big as possible. You start off the size of a paper clip, and end up rolling over skyscrapers, clouds and even the mighty Godzilla.
The prequel was a well-received sleeper hit and the update is said to include racing mini-games and various other multiplayer modes, including co-operative levels where two players share the same ball. Recent playtests by gamers suggest that whole some love the game, others are frustrated by the game's difficulty. Either way, fans of original and innovative games owe it to themselves to have a look at the anticipated Namco title.
