Advance Wars Spills Onto GameCube
Kuju's Battalion Wars brings the core of the explosive experience to Nintendo's home console.
Given the plodding nature of its gameplay, the Advance Wars series has seen perhaps surprising success. But not everyone wants to play games on a portable, which is why Nintendo is bringing the series to GameCube.
Developed by British creator Kuju Interactive, Battalion Wars picks up from the events in Advance Wars: Dual Strike for DS. A tyrannical dictator has taken advantage of a stalemate between two warring factions by trying to defeat them both in one go. And that's where you come in.
You control the action on the battlefield using a more hands-on approach than in the Game Boy Advance games by taking command of individual units.
You can switch to other units at will and there are also various commands for commanding your troops, giving you a chance to flex your strategy muscles. Nintendo is promising a wealth of variety in the 20-strong missions structure.
Battalion Wars for GameCube will be out stores across Europe on 9 December.
