Ubisoft's Prince and Others Set for PSP
Arabian acrobatics coming to a Sony portable near you. First screens.
Of all the big-name games publishers, Ubisoft has perhaps been the most hesitant to jump into the tranquil pool of the PSP - but no more. The company has announced that it will bring several of its top franchises to Sony's portable in the coming months.
Top on the list is Price of Persia PSP, which is being developed by Pipeworks, the team behind the recently successful Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. The PSP iteration is based on the aforementioned game, but it does bring new elements to the table, including, according to Ubisoft, new maps and redesigned levels.
Ubisoft will also be bringing its gang-themed driving game 187 Ride or Die to the PSP sometime in the early days of next year.
Apart from games developed in-house, Ubisoft will also publish several games from other creators. The most interesting of these is Tales of Eternia, the latest portable entry in Namco's popular (in Japan, at least) RPG series.
Ubisoft will also bring puzzler Frantix and Gripshift, a 3D driving-cum-puzzle game, to the PSP before the end of the year.
