Castlevania Jumps to Next-Gen
Not that anyone believed the vampire-slayer wouldn't turn up sooner or later.
It's existence was never in any real doubt, but Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi has confirmed that his popular vampire-slaying series will be making an appearance in the next generation, according to a report at IGN.
Igarashi said that the series would continue the current thematic trend, with the portable games being set before the fall of Dracula and the console entries working in a post-Dracula setting.
Fans of 2D games will likely have to stick to the portable instalments, though. Igarashi hinted earlier this year that, while he would like to make a 2D console Castlevania game, the current market conditions mean that this is highly unlikely.
