Ring, Ring! It's Master Chief
Bet you didn't see this coming, or did you?
Halo 3 for Xbox 360 is, unless Microsoft has been lying to us, still a long way off, but you'll soon be able to delve deeper into Master Chief's universe in a very unlikely place: your phone.
Microsoft and mobile game developer In-Fusio are teaming up to bring Halo to phones worldwide. There's no word yet on exactly what sort of game this will be, but given the limited capabilities of most mobile phones, it's fair to assume that it won't be anything action-intensive.
This isn't the first time the two companies have worked together. In-Fusio has already produced several Microsoft-based games, including Age of Empires II and Midtown Madness.
This latest deal is the next step in Microsoft's strategy to give Halo and Master Chief wider exposure. Apart from the mammothly popular Xbox games, Halo has turned up in book and toy form and soon Master Chief will be making his silver screen debut in the upcoming Halo movie.
