Burnout Scorches the UK Chart
EA's eye-popping series hits it big in both home and portable versions.
Considering how well the previous Burnout games have done for EA, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the latest instalment, Burnout Revenge, finds itself right on top of the latest UK sales charts.
The console outing for the fast-enough-to-melt-your-brain series was joined by the frachise's recently released portable Best Of title, Burnout Legends, which continues to do well on the PSP. Games for Sony's portable have, however, lost some of their lustre with buyers, with Burnout Legends being the only PSP game in the Top 20.
Perhaps surprisingly, Brian Lara International Cricket 2005 is still having a good run of it on the charts. The game finds itself in the 3rd spot, with sales actually spiking up nearly 25 per cent over the previous week.
Below are the top 10 games in the UK for the week ending 24 September, as determined by Chart Track:
- Burnout Revenge (EA)
- The Sims 2: Nightlife (EA)
- Brian Lara International Cricket 2005 (Codemasters)
- Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Winter Assault (THQ)
- Burnout Legends (EA)
- Fahrenheit (Atari)
- Total Overdose (Eidos)
- Juiced (THQ)
- Delta Force: Black Hawk Down (Novalogic)
- Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (Sierra)
