Fresh Harvest Moon Coming for PSP
Now this is more like it. Who needs a crusty port when you can pluck a fresh experience right off the branch.
Harvest Moon fans dismayed by the news that the first PSP game in the series would simply be a port of previous games in the series should be pleased to hear there's another game in the offing, according to a report at IGN, and this one brings something new to the experience.
Innocent Life: Harvest Moon is the first game in the popular farming series to be developed by ArtePiazza, which has previously worked on the Dragon Quest series.
The game sticks to the core gameplay of the series, tasking you with tending crops and rearing livestock, but there will be more in the way of exploration and interaction this time around.
Innocent Life: Harvest Moon is set on a tropical island, which you're invited to scour for, amongst other things, location-specific plants - presumably to sell as you make your way up to financial independence. As you play, the developers hope you'll get an eye into the character's life and his motivation for doing what he does.
There are as yet no plans to bring the game to Europe, but the continued popularity of the agricultural series here means that it's likely only a matter of time. Innocent Life: Harvest Moon is set for release in Japan in 2006.
