More Metal Gear for Your PSP
Apparently the card-battling system wasn't enough to scare of stealth-'em-up fans.
Metal Gear Acid may have just hit the PSP in Europe, but, on the other side of the world, the Japanese are preparing to take delivery of the sequel already. Konami is planning several new additions for Metal Gear Acid 2, the most apparent of which is a whole new viewing system.
The game will come packaged with a cardboard viewer, sort of like a stereoscope, that you place over the PSP's LCD to watch the onscreen action in faux 3D. The core, card-based gameplay is intact, and there are now around 500 cards to collect - twice as many as in the original.
There are also new modes in the game, the most exciting of which is an arena mode where you'll get to go up against past bosses from throughout the history of the Metal Gear series. You'll even be able to connect the game to Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence on the PlayStation 2 for extra goodies.
