Ridge Racer 6: 60fps Gameplay Videos
Our gameplay vids of Namco's 360 racer.
The jury is most certainly still out on Namco's Ridge Racer 6 for Xbox 360. Why? Well, on the one had it plays wonderfully as you would expect from a fun-fuelled Ridge racer game. On the other, even though it's in HD like all Xbox 360 games, it looks a bit, shall we say, unremarkable, considering the potential of the new hardware.
Nonetheless, Ridge Racer 6 - which is also reportedly scheduled to come to PlayStation 3 at some stage - is likely to be a popular launch game for Xbox 360. And if last year's PSP version, Ridge Racers, is anything to go by, then this racing game will offer addictive gameplay and replay value by the bucketload.
It is likely to perform well in Japan, at least assuming anyone buys any Japanese Xbox 360s. It's just that, up against the phenomenally awesome-looking Project Gotham Racing 3 (see our upcoming video feature of justice), RR6 just isn't as big an eye-opener.
Stay tuned for more on Ridge Racer 6.
