Midway, John Woo Working on 360 Game
And Chow Yun-Fat is slated to reprise his Hard Boiled role again too.
World-famous chopsocky moviemaker John Woo, the man behind such hits as Face/Off and Mission: Impossible II, is teaming up with games creator Midway on a new action game for Xbox 360.
Stranglehold, already announced in May, will be Midway's first game to hit the Xbox 360, the company will announce on Wednesday, at Microsoft's Xbox 360-only X05 event in Amsterdam.
The extent of Woo's involvement is unclear, but it stretches to the hiring of the director's longtime collaborator and international action film star Chow Yun-Fat, who will lend his likeness and voice to the project in a reprisal of his role as Hard Boiled's Inspector Tequila.
Midway is promising that Stranglehold will, "bring John Woo's famous use of hyperkinetic, choreographed action and slow motion sequences to the video game arena."
There's no firm release date attached to the game yet, but Midway has said it expects Stranglehold to hit stores sometime during 2006.
