Halo Goes Kung-Fu Fighting
Someone from Bungie's shooter is joining Team Ninja for a fight.
It's not uncommon for characters to flit between games, making guest appearances in seemingly unrelated titles, but it still comes as a surprise that someone from the Halo universe will be making an appearance in Tecmo's highly sought after Xbox 360 fighter Dead or Alive 4.
Master Chief's minders at developer Bungie have not confirmed who the character is, but apparently they've already seen him or her in the game:
"We're huge fans of Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, and when Team Ninja approached us with an intriguing idea, well, we were intrigued. Naturally. Tomonobu Itagaki's team is among the most talented in the games business, and we've seen the character in action."
"What they've done so far is perfectly capture the essence of (insert crackpot theory here) and bring an element of Halo directly into the Dead or Alive world. It's cool. And by cool, I mean totally sweet."
Given the female-heavy roster of Dead or Alive 4, it could be that Master Chief's holographic helper Cortana is being prepped for fisticuffs, but there's no confirmation either way right now.
