ChromeHounds on X360: Hi-Res Trailer
You should definitely check out the collaborative mech effort from Sega and From Software in this hi-res cam video.
First announced back at E3 this year, ChromeHounds is a modern mach-based battle game for Xbox 360 that really does look the part. But the competition is strong; Mobile Suit Gundam and Armored Core for PlayStation 3 are both looking particularly impressive right now, but they're still some way from release.
Although Sega has shown over the last few months that it is committed to reviving its classic franchises for the next generation, the company is not doing this at the expense of new titles, like this one.
With the outrageously detailed Armored Core series, From showed that it knows what's what when it comes to mech games, and the company is promising to "redefine mech action" for this new title. But then they would say that, wouldn't they?
Chrome Hounds is built around online interaction, which is no doubt part of the reason why it's coming only to Xbox 360 - unlike most of Sega's other next-generation games. The game will support up to 12 players online.
Stay tuned for more on ChromeHounds.
