Ubisoft Delays Xbox 360 Ghost Recon
Company decides that late is better than lacklustre.
Microsoft's announcement of the launch date for the Xbox 360 drew in a makeshift goal line that not all developers are going to be able to meet for their first games. Ubisoft is one such game maker, and it announced late last week that its first next-gen title, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, will not make it in time for launch.
Despite showing up in playable form at last week's X05 event in Amsterdam, Ubisoft has chosen to keep the game in the cooker for a while still. Instead, the game, which is also coming for current-gen consoles, will only make it to stores in early 2006.
The extra time is being used to, as Ubisoft puts it, optimize the game for the Xbox 360 technology.
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter will be out for Xbox 360 sometime in February 2006.
