Perfect Dark Zero: Hi-Res Gameplay Vids
In-game videos and the newest trailer for Rare's feverishly anticipated FPS prequel on Xbox 360.
There's no doubt that Microsoft is pushing Perfect Dark Zero harder than any other Xbox 360 launch title. Billing it as the "must have" launch game, the company is using the title to shift Xbox 360s to as many early adopters as possible (despite the fact that there probably won't be enough hardware to meet demand at launch).
Nonetheless, PDZ ("Pee Dee Zee" or "Pee Dee Zed", depending on which side of the pond you live) is looking like a very worthwhile shooter. As the creators at Rare were keen to explain last week, the game does not attempt to copy Halo ("that would just be lazy", a Rare spokesperson admitted) but is instead focussing on its strangths as a franchise, developing some new ideas, and generally aiming for as high a quality possible in the final game, something Rare desperately needs to make sure is achieved.
Fortunately for the UK development house, which was infamously purchased by Microsoft back at X02, Perfect Dark Zero does look like it will be a top-quality game, that deserves every last bit of success it will inevitably see at retail outlets late next month.
We've only been able to check out two levels of the single-player game so far - levels two and three - while Rare keeps the first level and its related cut-scenes under wraps until launch.
For now, we highly reccomend you take a look at these high qiality gameplay videos, and stay tuned for much more coverage including our upcoming video interview. It's gonna be a biggie...
