Ico Director Ponders Third Title for PS3
Fumito Ueda pulls off the tethers of the PlayStation 2 and heads off to the next generation.
While the team behind the sequel to cult hit Ico is only now finishing off its next project, Shadow of the Colossus, it also has its eyes set on the next big thing. Fumito Ueda, the director responsible for both games, told Japanese site Dengeki Online that he's already thinking about worthy successors.
As Ueda's team is based within Sony itself, it shouldn't be too surprising to hear that the creator has confirmed that his next game will be on PlayStation 3 - he's also interested in making something for the PSP.
As its stands now, though, things are still in the formative stages, with concepts being thrown around until the team finds what sticks. Given Ueda's history, the game is unlikely to be a sequel to either Ico or Shadow of the Colossus - at least not a direct one.
