Quake Rocks Stores Across Europe
Id's other franchise shakes (groan) things up at retail.
The Doom movie, starring ex-WWE Superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, may still be a month away from release in the UK, but fans of Id Software's shooters won't have to wait that long too savour the company's offerings. Id's other major franchise, Quake, sees its latest instalment hit shelves across Europe this week.
The game picks up where Quake II left off, leaving you, as super solider Matthew Kane, to go in and lay waste to those dastardly aliens, the Strogg.
Id boss Todd Hollenshead says the game, "[fuses] an epic war-story driven single player campaign and fast-paced Quake III Arena inspired multiplayer."
Quake IV is out for PC right now.
