Namco Returns to the Arcade for its 50th
Celebrate encrouching senior citizen status with a plunge in the rose-coloured pool of nostalgia.
Arcades as we know them may not have been around for 50 years, but some of the companies involved in them have. To celebrate its golden anniversary, Namco is teaming up with EA for the release of a collection of the games that launched the company to success.
Namco Museum 50th Anniversary Arcade Collection brings the best of Namco's heyday from the dingy, smoke-filled arcades straight to your living room.
No longer will you have to side-step ne'er-do-wells or risk beatings from that kid with the tattoo on his head. Instead, hours of fun with classics such as Ms Pac-Man, Rally-X, Dig Dug, Mappy, Xevious and nine more are but one simple purchase away.
The collection is coming for Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube and PC, and a cut-down version with five games will hit the Game Boy Advance. Xbox owners will be able to replace the outdated high score tables with online ranking over Xbox Live.
Namco Museum 50th Anniversary Arcade Collection should be in stores sometime during early 2006.
