The Sims 2 Brings Life to Consoles & Handhelds
Real people losing their lives living out the lives of virtual people.
Despite only being five years old, The Sims franchise has already racked up sales tallying 50 million. Now the best-selling PC update The Sims 2 is finally coming to all current consoles and handhelds later this year.
Of course, just bringing the game over as is simply won't do, so EA has gone back in to cut away the fat while leaving the core life simulation experience. And because the consoles and handhelds have such vastly different capabilities, the game has been jostled to better suit each platform.
On the PlayStation 2, for instance, you'll be able to take pictures using the EyeToy camera that can be imported into the game. The Game Boy Advance iteration comes with a much more defined storyline while the DS version lets you use the touch-screen for painting pictures and lots more.
The Sims 2 will be out for Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and DS on 4 November before coming to PSP and mobile phones. For more on the game, check out EA's official Sims site.
