Mammoth Xbox 360 Party in the Desert
And you can go too - well, you can if you're willing to pay your own way. Hooray?
For the launch of the Xbox 360, Microsoft and local retailers could (and will) have a simple midnight opening, but to properly ring in the next generation, Microsoft has decided to go that one step further.
If you're a true Xbox fan there's only one place for you to be to welcome in the new console: Xbox 360: Zero Hour, the mother of all launch parties, which is taking place at a yet-to-be-revealed location in the Mojave Desert in the US.
There gamers from around the world will congregate on the eve of the next generation to go hands on with the full launch line-up and games coming out later in the year and next year.
Xbox 360: Zero Hour kicks off at sunset on 20 November and runs through to the early hours of 22 November - the worldwide debut of the console. Winners of various online competitions will be taking in the event for free as VIPs, but if you've got the cash to make your own way there, you'll be able to register online for one of the 3,000 coveted open invitations.
To find out where you can register for this one-time-only event, visit Microsoft's Zero Hour site. Don't forget to send a postcard to let everyone know you were among the first next-generation gamers.
