Chibi-Robo Detailed, European Release Confirmed
Miyamoto's other pet project clean and dusts its way into European gamers' hearts.
While Shigeru Miyamoto has an undying love for Mario, Zelda, Nintendogs and all the other franchises that sprang from his verdant mind, over the past while he's also had a special place for developer Skip's upcoming cutesy robot simulator Chibi-Robo.
In the game you, predictably, control Chibi-Robo, a pint-sized house helper robot. Yes, that means you'll be doing chores around the house, but controlling Chibi-Robo and getting him to fly to nooks and crannies to zap away nasties is more fun that it sounds.
Of course, it doesn't end there. Chibi-Robo's minder is an 8-year-old named Jenny. When an evil corporation sends in its own robot, it's up to you and Chibi-Robo to protect the family.
While Chibi-Robo was developed outside of Nintendo, Miyamoto, who had a hand in the project, said in an interview reported by IGN that this was one of the games he was most interested in. Miyamoto also said that he would like to fold the character into Nintendo's already-healthy stable.
Chibi-Robo is being prepped for its GameCube release in North America in February. As yet, Nintendo hasn't officially confirmed whether the game will be coming to Europe but sources within the company told Kikizo that it's only a matter of time.
