Halo Evolves for Xbox 360 - Screens
Both games get boosted graphics thanks to software emulation-based backwards compatibility. Screens included!
The limited backwards compatibility of the Xbox 360 means that not all Xbox games will work right out the box, but Bungie has confirmed that the two biggest, Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, will.
And not only that - through some technical tomfoolery Bungie has been able to lure better graphics out of the discs you already own. When played on an Xbox 360, both games will support high definition resolution at 720p with full-screen anti-aliasing, making for a smoother look.
The games will run in widescreen on the 360, which, besides giving you a better view of the world, also means that you and a friend will be able to play split-screen multiplayer that much more comfortably.
Speaking of multiplayer, Halo 2 will also work perfectly via Xbox Live using your current Gamer Tag.
The numerous fixes and bumps Bungie has brought in via the emulation software essentially ensure that you get an identical-or-better experience of the games you've been playing for the last four years.
