Hitman Gets Symphony and Stats
The glabrous assassin's most wanted outing lands features old and new.
The long-delayed next entry in Eidos' Hitman series is finally nearing release and the company has revealed some of the new stuff you can expect in Hitman: Blood Money.
Competitive players will get a kick out of H.O.R.S. - the new Hitman Online Ranking System, which lets you see who the best players from around the world are. You'll be judged in several categories including: Highest Paid, Most Wanted, Fastest, Most Accurate, Create the Most Accidents and Best Hitman.
The ranking system examines how you've played through the game's evolving levels and takes into the account the game's various playing styles, so you won't necessarily be punished if you're prefer brawn over brains.
One returning feature to Hitman: Blood Money is the grand, symphonic score courtesy of award-winning songster Jesper Kyd. Kyd took command of the 150-piece Budapest Symphony Orchestra to create a dynamic thread of sound that weaves itself through the game. The result is the "best sounding Hitman game to date," according to Kyd.
After a few hiccups, Hitman: Blood Money will be out for PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2 in spring 2006.
