Blazing Angles Take to Next-Gen Skies
First shots from Ubisoft's arcadey WWII flying game. If you've been looking for a new dog-fighter, this would appear to be your game.
The Second World War is well-trodden ground for inspiration for video game developers, but there are few that take that most famous of wars to the skies. Ubisoft has announced that it'll be releasing its arcade-style flight game, Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII, on current- and next-gen consoles early next year.
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII does away with the overly complicated controls that often besmirch flying games and offers a much simpler solution. And you won't be flying alone either. During skirmishes you're accompanied by wingmen who grow along with you as you make it deeper into the 18-mission story mode.
Flight games are often best played with friends, though, which is why Ubisoft is including a range of multiplayer modes. You'll be able to play with up to 15 other players in dogfights or in the 10 added co-operative missions.
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII will be out for PC, Xbox and Xbox 360 this winter. For more information, visit Ubisoft's official site.
