Another Action RPG From Sakaguchi
Legendary creator of Final Fantasy promises to make you Cry On through an emotional journey.
The Final Fantasy name carries a lot of weight, especially in Japan, where Microsoft is now desperate to make inroads, which is why the news that Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the series, was making two exclusive RPGs for the Xbox 360 was so well received. But that isn't all that the esteemed game designer has on his plate.
Though Sakaguchi has yet to finish either Blue Dragon (which he's working on with Dragon Ball artist Akira Toriyama) or Lost Odyssey, it's been revealed that he's already working on a third game (this one an action RPG) for Microsoft's next-gen box, GameSpot is reporting.
Despite the action-tinged gameplay, Sakaguchi describes this latest game, Cry On, as an emotional journey. Drakengard character designer Kimihiko Fujisaka will realize the characters for Cry On while Sakaguchi's longtime collaborator Nobuo Uematsu is again in charge of creating the game's music.
As yet, there are no launch specifics for Cry On, but at the rate Sakaguchi is going with his other two titles, you may be in for a wait.
