Colossus, Ico Set for Feb Arrival
Ico re-release and Colossus hit Feb 17.
It's not often that art and video games collide but Sony's in-house development team did just that with cruelly overlooked cult hit Ico. Sony has now revealed that the fans and soon-to-be-fans of the team's quasi-series will be able to pick up spiritual successor Shadow Of The Colossus as early as next month.
Branded by its makers as "an intense journey of exploration, problem solving and conflict", Shadow Of The Colossus casts you as a horseman bent on reviving his fallen charge.
Armed with only your horse, your sword and your intellect, you'll search the kingdom's fields in search of the titular colossi, giant monsters that need to be scoured and scanned to be felled.
The game's predecessor, Ico, brought much of the same form and function, but no one came to the party. To fix this, Sony has arranged to re-release the game at the same time as its follow-up hits the shelves.
You'll be able to pick up both Ico and Shadow Of The Colossus only for PlayStation 2 on 17 February. You can check our full verdict on the game here.
