Essential Splinter Cell Coming to PSP
Sam Fisher's debut PSP outing sees the super-spy's military history laid bare. First screens inside.
In Sam Fisher's upcoming console outing we find the Splinter Cell star siding with the bad guys to further his mission. And while Splinter Cell: Double Agent is already high on fans' want-list, Ubisoft has revealed more information for the tie-in PSP game in the works.
Splinter Cell Essentials is sort of a mixed bag. Rather than offering a simple narrative, Ubisoft is offering something much more chapter based.
You'll play through new scenarios that back up the action in Splinter Cell: Double Agent, but there are also missions set in Sam's early days in the service, when he was still a Navy Seal, and others that take place during previous games (including Splinter Cell: Double Agent).
While the game would appear to provide a similar sort of experience to its flashier console brother, Ubisoft has added PSP-exclusive stuff such as new weapons. You'll also be able to test your skills in various WiFi multiplayer modes.
Splinter Cell Essentials will be out only for PSP this spring.
