Sony Offers Glimpse of Its PS3 Cards
No, it's not a partial launch list as some are suggesting, but it's something and it's official.
What games will Sony have ready for the PlayStation 3 launch? This and when the launch will be are the key question behind the next-gen console right now, and frustratingly the company isn't ready to budge on either. A nugget of officially info, however, has added fuel to the hype machine.
Earlier this week Sony's official Japanese site listed six PlayStation 3 titles. Though none of them were labelled as launch titles per se, some of the games are from franchises that are expected to be there on day one.
The list included the next instalments in the Gran Turismo, Genji and Hot Shots Golf (Everybody's Golf) series and three (apparently) new games: Monster Carniva, Eye of Judgement and Angel Wings. This isn't completely new, though, as several of the games have already been shown to the public at last year's Tokyo Game Show.
The listings have since been taken down from Sony's site, no doubt thanks to the massive speculation that has overrun video game sites since the titles were innocently placed online. Official launch details from the company will quell the incendiary half-truths once and for all, but only Sony knows when such an announcement will come.
