Shadow of the Colossal Extras
All good things come to those who wait, or something. What's really important is that sensitive Euro gamers will be getting extra stuff when the game comes out.
Being last is never fun but it sometimes has advantages. Take Shadow of the Colossus as an example. The game has been out in Japan and the US since last year, while Europeans have been waiting patiently (or importing). But Sony has revealed it will reward that patience with new packaging and extras for the game.
In addition to the acclaimed game, you'll get extra stuff, including interviews with creators Kenji Kaido and Fumito Ueda, concept art and a gallery of still plucked from the game. There's also a trailer for Ueda and Kaido's cult hit Ico, which not coincidentally will be re-released on Shadow of the Colossus's launch day.
Want to know more? Why not hit up Sony's brand new official site for the game. There you'll be able to learn more about the titular giants and the characters you'll play and meet, all while sampling the game's soundtrack.
And if you've always wanted to show off your love for the series, Sony's got you covered again. The site contains details about a new competition where the grand prize is a trip to "a surprising destination". To win, all you need to do is impress Kaido and Ueda by creating a new Colossus.
Both Shadow of the Colossus and its spiritual prequel Ico will be in stores on 17 February. For more, check out our full review and our recent interview with Kenji Kaido.
