Sensible Soccer Lines Up Summer Outing
Many think big-headed footie has been missing for far too long. Codies have heard your call. New screens.
Few games can get away with calling their main characters big headed, but when it's the latest Sensible Soccer game convention is out the window. This summer you'll be able to return to the old-but-new series when Sensible Soccer hits consoles and PC.
Fans of the age-old classic had feared that the update would be botched, but Codemasters has erred on the side of nostalgia. The same, trademark presentation is here, as are, "the biggest heads you've ever seen in football". Take that, David Beckham.
Codemasters have been some effort into making sure you enjoy the game's replays. They're presented in a cel-shaded style and bring a dollop of humour to the proceedings too.
Don't let the comedic undertones fool you, though. Sensible Soccer lives up to its name. It includes over 5,000 players from 350 national and international teams.
Jon Hare, creator of the first and consultant on the update, says the new Sensible Soccer is, "a perfect blend of past, present and future with all the speed, fun and playability of the original combined with all the animations, four-player fun and spiced up with a magical sprinkling of original gameplay features that have never been seen before".
Find out if he's right when Sensible Soccer arrives for Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PC this summer. In the meantime, find out more about the game at its official site.
