Lego Star Wars Strikes Back This Fall
Lego is big. Star Wars is big. Try to tell us you didn't see this one coming.
The success of last year's Lego Star Wars took some by surprise, but perhaps the teaming up of such popular brands meant it was inevitable. What's clear, though, is that success breeds sequels, which is where Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy comes in.
Based, as the title suggest, on the three flicks from George Lucas's first run through space, Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (a temporary name) is coming to all current consoles and handhelds bar the Xbox 360 later this year.
Developer Traveller's Tales return to its series, keeping the humour and family-friendly tone that pushed the first game. You'll follow the key moments from A New Hope (Episode IV), Empire Strikes Back (Episode V) and Return of the Jedi (Episode VI), guiding Luke, Han and Leia against the dastardly Darth Vader.
New to the sequel is the ability to use vehicles and ride animals and to get out or off at will to roam the world. There are dozens or characters for use in Free Play mode and you'll even be able to unlock others if you have a save for the first game on your memory card.
Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy will be out for PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, DS, PSP, Game Boy Advance and PC this fall.
