Half-Life 2 Back From the Dead
Fans of the good doctor will jump at Valve's episodic continuation of tha award-winning shooter. First screens.
Gordon Freeman's crowbar wielding adventures in the highly acclaimed PC shooter Half-Life 2 may be over, but that's not to say that you won't be seeing the affable scientist again soon. Developer Valve announced this week it's working on the first in a series of episodic singleplayer updates.
The first add-on, Half-Life 2: Aftermath, thuds you back into the boots of Freeman as he hooks up with Alyx Vance and Dog right after the conclusion of the events in Half-Life 2. Together they must rally against the still-looming threat of the Combine army.
Everything you loved about the original game is back, including the award-winning gameplay infused with lifelike physics and envy-inducing graphics. But while the technical glitz is still the vehicle, it's the story advancement that Valve is hoping will draw PC gamers back into the fold.
Look for Half-Life 2: Aftermath to arrive only for PC on 28 April.
