Guitar Hero Brings Rock to Easter
Once you're finished stuffing your face, you'll be able to rock out with the gods.
Put away your air guitars, rock fans. Red Octane has heard your desperate pleas for more rock in your games and has answered in the form of Guitar Hero, a PlayStation 2 game that comes with a quasi-real guitar and all-real attitude.
Already a hit in North America, Guitar Hero was created by Harmonix, the people behind Frequency and Amplitude.
The game lets you wail on rock classics from established guitar gods such as Jimi Hendrix, Queen and Cream to modern day chart toppers, including Franz Ferdinand Sum 41 and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
All in all, there are 47 songs to keep you playing long past the witching hour with rising difficulty levels that will test your allegiance to the gods of the grind.
Guitar Hero includes a miniature recreation of the classic Gibson SG guitar with buttons of the fret board that you press in time to on-screen cues, much like the dancing games that fill arcades these days.
Guitar Hero will be out only for PlayStation 2 on 7 April. For more details, check out the official game site.
