Halo Graphic Novel On the Way
After conquering games and books (sort of), Master Chief is headed to comics courtesy of Marvel. First art.
Master Chief is already a soldier of many hats, having appeared in not only the award-winning and chart-topping Halo games but also novels and soundtracks - he's even got an action figure. The next step in the video game star's multimedia adventures is into the four-colour world of graphic novels.
A new graphic novel, appropriately named the Halo Graphic Novel, has been concocted by Halo developer Bungie and is to be published by Marvel later this year. The theme is exploration of the Halo universe, which will be brought to comic book life in one main story and three smaller ones by legends such as Simon Bisley (2000 AD) and French maestro Moebius.
In addition to original stories that delve into the game world as invaded by the Flood and the Covenant, the book will also have stand-alone artwork by top comic book and Bungie artists showing Master Chief strutting his stuff.
The 128-page, hardcover Halo Graphic Novel should be out sometime this July.
