Shadow of the Colossus Slays God of War at Game Developers Choice Awards

The recently sequelled God of War may have been the big winner at the DICE Summit awards earlier this year, but it was another Sony game that pulled in all the glory at this week's Game Developers Choice awards in San Jose.
Shadow of the Colossus> beat out its stable mate in all three categories the two were both nominated in and went on to earn five awards on the night, including the top prize for Best Game. God of War failed to pick up anything at the ceremony despite being nominated in six categories.
Other winners on the night included Frequency creator Harmonix's latest musical offering, Guitar Hero, and Nintendo's puppy love simulator Nintendogs. The three main winners also ended up with awards for Innovation.
The award for the best new development studio went to Doublefine Productions, the creator of last year's critically acclaimed Psychonauts.
