Sega Soccer Management Sim Comes West
Football Manager is already a bit hit for Sega, but the company has decided to bring a Japanese-developed sim over too. First screens.
The numbers-heavy world of football management games is already a sizzling with competition, with a couple of entrenched franchises keeping a stranglehold. This isn't stopping other companies from giving it a go, though - companies like Sega.
Developed in Japan, Let's Make A Soccer Team is already a hit in its home country. Here you'll be able to make your own team from scratch and then put it up against real-life teams from around Europe. Your country choices are limited to England, France, Holland, Italy, Germany and Spain, which makes it narrower in scope than Sega's UK-dominating series, Football Manager.
Like that series, Let's Make A Soccer Team allows you to sink a finger into every aspect of your club, whether that's taking care of design changes to the kit or managing the concession stands at your stadium.
Of course, taking care of business on the pitch comes first, and to do that you'll be able to manage your team and players at all stages before, during and after matches. As is becoming the norm, you'll also be able to watch matches progress and guide your squad to victory. Do well and you'll progress to championships and take on the best the rest of the continent has to offer.
Let's Make A Soccer Team will be out only for PlayStation 2; Sega has not yet said when the game will be out.
